Banned Substance

Yesterday YSLs new Belle d'Opium advert was banned from UK television as the ASA, Advertising Standards Authority, deemed it 'irresponsible' after 13 people complained. I personally think it's a beautiful advert, and French actress Melanie Thierry dancing was hypnotizing. YSL fought back saying the advert was 'not intended to make any reference to drug culture, but to promote the sensuality and seductive qualities of the fragrance in keeping with the Opium brand, which was launched by Yves Saint Laurent over 30 years ago.'

Kill Joys.

P.S - Sorry it's an old post, just figured out how to upload videos!

An Oranges Production. A Stop Motion Film. Food for Thought.

A little video we made for Laura's project 'Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit'.
What do you think, potential film director career lies ahead?

Hey Cakey!

LOVE - This Is Hardcore

I am starting to get verrrrry excited for the next issue of LOVE magazine which comes out on Monday 7th February. I'll be in uni that day so I'll be able to buy it from the (tax free) shop. Unless they've only got the Justin Bieber cover, then I'll probably wait. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on Bieber, I just really want one of the Kate Moss covers. The Last time I got LOVE at the start of October I was at Luton airport about to go to beautiful Paris and I just couldn't decide which cover to get, and the pressure of having to board in 15 minutes led to choosing the one with the doll on it. I thought it was unusual, okay.

I have a feeling I may be in a similar situation this Monday.

P.S - I love Kate's freckles!

To Brow Or Not To Brow?

This season normal eyebrows are a no no. It's one extreme or the other. No in between. Which makes it tricky, as both of these spring/summer 11 looks are amazing!
Numero un is all about the bleached brows. Easy, if you're a beautiful model that is.

Or there is always numero deux, the big, dark and bushy. Okay so I know that doesn't sound great, but think Natalie Portman in the Black Swan and Brooke Shields in the good old days. It's a really strong and beautiful look. I like it.
