Guilt Free Fashion Involving Squirrels = Best Thing Ever

How amazingly are these? So amazing. I love squirrels, they're my favourite animals (no, they're not vermin) so when I saw these charm bracelets in Topshop I nearly died. AND each one you buy donates £1 to the Centrepoint charity. I may be a little overzealous and buy all three, at least it's for a good cause.

Skin and Bones

How cool are these blackmilk swimsuits! They are so cool. I really want one for Christmas, well I think I do, but they don't come cheap. And I feel I must take into consideration the fact that I never ever wear swimsuits (not cool tan lines). Hmmm.

Wedding Bliss

Today the official photos from Kate Moss and Jamie Hince's beautiful summer wedding have been released by none other than Mario Testino himself. The images are set to appear in the September issue (that's right, the big one!) of American Vogue and have been named the most romantic wedding of the year. I love this image of both Moss and Hince just moments after they tied the knot, it reminded me of another rockers wedding also shot for Vogue. My big fat greek gypsy Vogue wedding!

Gemma Correll - renowned cat artist.

Recently I keep coming across these amazing Gemma Correll drawings everywhere, and by everywhere I mean Urban Outfitters, Paperchase and Google when you search for cool pugs (as you do).
Her collection of works mainly consists of cats and pugs, but i'm not complaining as i like both.

How To Be The Coolest Person On The Beach

You won't need to be really brown this summer to get noticed on the beach, as there is now an easy alternative for attention. Today Proenza Schouler introduced 'Proenza Schouler Beach' and boy am I excited. Looking at the website now, the range currently consists of two beach bags and one towel, which makes it all the more exclusive. Admittedly it is a litttttle expensive with the towel priced at around £88.50 ($145), but that's fashion baby.

PS I Love you PS1

I know what I have to say is pretty much old news now, but nevertheless it cannot go unsaid. In April I turned twenty (I know it's now June, I'm sorry!) and for the blessed occasion I received the most beautiful gift i've laid my little green eyes on, a large suede PS1 in navy.

Now I know what some of you are thinking, 'This girl got a Playstation one for her twentieth, and they are not that beautiful. A Playstation two is much sleeker and don't get me started on a Playstation three..."

Incorrect.

I am talking about my new Proenza Schouler Bag!! And I love her. If she were an animal she'd be some sort of big cat, like a tiger or a snow leopard.

Oh Nerds!!

I have a recently come to terms with the fact that I am a geek. Below are five overwhelmingly nerdy reasons which I have based this conclusions on.

1. I think J.K Rowling is the most intelligent person in the world

2. I found my gameboy colour the other day, helllooooooooo pokemon red.

3. I die a little inside everytime I watch Star Wars Episode III Revenge of The Sith and Anakin turns to the dark side. And yes IMDB, I think it deserves more than 7.8/10

4. I can't wait for The Hobbit to come out so I can spend a day watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy to recap. I know what you're thinking, and the answer is 'of course you can watch them all in a day.'

5. I quoted a line from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe today when offered some turkish delight.

Wake Up Make Up

Today I've just been playing around with make up for my Illamasqua project, which I plan on shooting in the next couple of days. Like all things, a little trial and error was needed, but we're getting there. Here's the start of one look I practised on myself. Excuse the messy hair.

Saving My Sweet Sweet Pennies

I never seem to have much luck with bags, the one I want is always last season, sold out or never been stocked in the shops I go to.

But times are a-changing.

I WILL save up and I WILL buy this bag for myself. At $458 aka £280 this Marc Jacobs Dr. Q Backpack is quite affordable. I'm just in lovvve with it. The beautiful 'reef blue' colour, the shape, the style, everything! I spotted it whilst shopping yesterday in Dubai. Tried it on. Kept it on for a little while. Was kindly asked to remove it. Said a tearful goodbye. Promised us both to one day be reunited. Only downer was that it was double the price here, so I'm going to wait until I'm back in England.... or maybe order it online so it arrives just before i get back. I feel a beautiful bag/owner friendship coming on.

I won't let you get away bag!

Jaiden rVa James

A Couple of weeks ago Jaiden Jeremy James, from menswear range Jaiden rVa James and co founder of RE-BEL magazine was a guest speaker at my uni. JJJ spoke about his career in the design industry; how he got started, Somerset House shows, dressing Lady Gaga for her Alejandro video and Fame Monster tour, G-shock collaborations, creating hats worn in a Nick Knight video and then starting his own online magazine. It was amazing to hear how much he had achieved in such a short space of time, which he modestly put down to luck - being in the right place at the right time with the right people.

RE-BEL magazine is distributed by Diesel in London, Paris and New York.

African Victorian

On Wednesday me and my fellow fashion styling friends/house mates/ pancake makers were asked to form a collaboration with a 3rd year make up student, Melissa, for her final major project. Melissa's project is based on black culture but mixed in with Victorian styling, and our job was to source all the Victorian clothes and accessories. So we decided that we needed a neutral colour palette for the dresses, as Mel wanted to juxtapose the Victorian outfit with African head scarves.

So we hit the shops, sourced a couple of dresses that were fairly simple, yet very delicate and pretty and we decided to make the accessories ourselves - what with being sewing wizz kids and everything. We ended up making a lace collar with a really detailed, embroided, hand made ribbon, and Yasmin also added some pearls to a black lace necklace we found.

Here's a look at the shoot from the sideline...
